Not at all. [She grins, almost like he just told a joke.] I'm passable in the kitchen, but if you actually want tasty pancakes, I'm not who you should ask. Messer made these. I mentioned I had a friend who might want some, too.

[Pavel gets pointed at with her fork.]

[What was so funny about that?!] Ah, I can see that I will need to make friends with Messer immediately.

Well, Messer isn't too... social at first. If you'd like to carry a conversation, be prepared to lead a fair amount of it yourself. [She takes a sip from her own cup.] But I think you'd manage fine. Strategy, flying, aircraft, all those are good topics.
