[Chekov hadn't intended to run into Korra on his way to the beach house (he has a book on cosmology for Jinora tucked under his arm--his version of a distraction). Then again, he hasn't been trying to avoid her. The fact that they haven't spoken since their argument--the weekend doesn't count since they weren't themselves--is purely coincidental. Work has been hard, Doc has needed help with the DeLorean, Uhura is having problems of her own...
But he could have made time to see her if he had really wanted to.
Honestly, Chekov just wants to tell Korra that lashing out physically at him when she's angry is unacceptable, but without stirring up any trouble. He hates confrontation. It would be easier to shrug it off... but no. As forgiving as Pavel typically is, there are some things that shouldn't go unaddressed.
He approaches Korra quietly and waits for her to notice him.]
